Warren Harding, son of Henry and Annette (Hinz) Timmerman, was born March 8, 1920, near Manning. He attended school in Manning, graduating with the Class of 1938. Warren lived just west of Manning on Highway 141. He farmed and raised cattle as long as he was able. He enjoyed traveling out west with his good friends Bud Mohr and Lawrence Sporrer to buy cattle. He went to the Worlds Fair in Seattle in 1962 with Arlo Pfannkuch and traveled to Europe and South America after retirement. He liked to trade cars, sometimes new, but mostly used. He also enjoyed visiting with many of his friends on his amateur ham radio. Warren was very independent and was able to remain on his farm until falling and breaking his leg in early 2006. While recuperating at the Manning Plaza Nursing Home, he suffered a ruptured aneurysm and died there on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 3 days. Preceding Warren in death are his parents; brother Max Timmerman; aunts and uncles Gordon and Gertrude (Timmerman) Sutherland, Fred and Annette Timmerman, Harry and Fredda Hinz, Elsie (Hinz) Groff , Rose (Hinz) Paine, cousin Ron Timmerman.
