Warren Frank, son of Frank Theodore and Lena Christine (Lamp) Wulf, was born November 25, 1928 on a farm in Hayes Township, southwest of Westside, Iowa. He started his schooling in rural schools near his home and then attended and graduated from Westside High School in 1948. He was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After training at Ft. Leonardwood, MO, he was stationed in Korea.

After his honorable discharge, he returned to Westside. Warren took schooling in telegraphy and worked as a station agent for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He then worked as an inspector for the Department of Transportation living in Des Moines and Sioux City.

Warren was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sioux City where he served as president. He was also a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Warren enjoyed traveling, collecting coins and early in his life he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was crowned king at the Scheutzen Verein where he was a member.  Many nieces and nephews will remember him as their favorite? uncle.  Warren also took pleasure in driving around the Iowa countryside.

Warren retired in the late 1980s, moved to Denison and when his health began to fail he lived with his sister in Westside. In 2005 he became a resident of the Manning Plaza Nursing Home. He died at Manning Regional Healthcare Center on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at the age of 80 years and one week.

Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Winston Wulf and brother-in-law Melvin Dixon.

Warren is survived by his sister Mary Dixon of Westside; two brothers Frank Wulf and wife Donna of Temecula, CA and Charles Wulf and wife Rochelle of Beaumont, TX; sister-in-law Myrna Wulf of Carroll; eleven nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
