Terry Schwarte

Terrance "Terry" Joseph Schwarte was born on December 8, 1959, the son of Eugene and Marilyn (Freund) Schwarte in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized and later confirmed his faith at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manilla. He graduated from Denison High School with the class of 1979.

Following high school, Terry worked at WESCO in Denison and participated in their activities. He enjoyed watching western movies and listening to country music. He looked forward to social gatherings and was always ready to play a card game of any kind. He had a strong faith and cherished spending time with family and friends.

Terry passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison at the age of 62 years, seven months and 18 days.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings: Joni (Doug) Tonnemacher of Johnston, Alan (Jill) Schwarte of Albia, and Kathy Schwarte of Denison; nieces and nephews: Lexie, Tonnemacher, Mason Tonnemacher, Zach Schwarte, Hannah Schwarte; aunts and uncles; and many other relatives and other friends.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022, with Mass of Christian Burial will follow, starting at 1:30 p.m. all at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manilla. Interment will be held in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Manilla. Memorials may be directed WESCO or the Denison Care Center.
