Steven James Mandery, son of Andy Stokke and Ramona Andrews, was born August 17, 1972, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up in Minneapolis where he attended school. Steve then he went to work doing drywall with Wade Robertson until 2001, when the family moved to Nebraska for a short time. They then returned to Minneapolis until he met Robin and moved to Manning in 2010.
On December 13, 2014, Steve was united in marriage with Robin DeBoth at the Luxor Hotel wedding chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home near Manning. While they welcomed each other's children into this marriage, a son Kaleb was also born to this couple. Steve continued his lifelong work of drywall and construction and took a position with Pella Corp in Carroll from 2012 until 2020. He then resumed operating Mandery Drywall.
Steve was a handyman and jack-of-all-trades. In his early years, he flew small airplanes. He enjoyed camping, picking asparagus, listening to country music, and driving the scenic route whenever he traveled. Steve operated on his own sense of time, affectionately referred to as the "Steve Minute." He was an excellent cook, baker, smoker and griller, especially with a Coors Light. Above all, Steve delighted in the time spent with his family.
