Steven Kent, son of Fred and Beverly (Souter) Bell, was born August 17, 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona. He grew up in Phoenix and attended school, graduating from Washington High School with the Class of 1976. While growing up, Steve played bass guitar while his brother played drums. Following graduation, Steve moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he worked as a respiratory technician at Holy Cross Hospital.

On November 17, 1988, Steve was united in marriage with Christine Tina? Woolsey in Phoenix. They made their home in Phoenix where Steve was a plumber and mason. Steve and Tina were the parents of four children. Steve studied art at Phoenix College and continued to use his artistic talent as a hobby throughout his life.

In August of 1990, at the invitation of his family they moved to the family farm southwest of Manning, Iowa. At that time Steve began working for Farmland Foods of Denison.

Steves number one interest in life was his family. He enjoyed being outside and cooking outside no matter the weather and had a passion for Harley Davidson bikes. He was a lover of the outdoors and found pleasure in visiting all national parks out West with his family. Steve was an avid football fan, especially the Oakland Raiders. He supported the Audubon Society and the Native American Education Council of Arizona.

Early Tuesday, January 8, 2008, Steve died suddenly and unexpectedly at Manning Regional Healthcare Center where he was taken by ambulance after becoming sick at home. Steve was 49 years, 4 months and 22 days of age.

Preceding Steve in death are his grandparents James and Ora Bell and Lyall and Mary Souter.

He is survived by his wife Christine Bell of Manilla; four children: Candace Bell of Carroll; Eddie Bell and fianc Julie Herrington of Manning; Courtney Bell of Manning and Carissa Bell of Manning; two grandchildren Ashleigh Keanna Bell and Aiden Kent Bell, both at home with their mother Candace; parents Fred and Beverly Bell of Wildwood, Missouri; parents-in-law Lee and Carol Woolsey of Phoenix; brother David Bell and fianc Nancy Buehler of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister-in-law Diane and her husband Larry Pendleton of Kentucky; uncle Dave Souter and his wife Carol of Manning; numerous Kentucky relatives, other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
