Stanley Jay Schrum was born March 10, 1945, at Grand Island, Nebraska, to Elroy and Darlene (Boeck) Schrum. Stan grew up in Manning, Iowa and graduated Manning High School with the class of 1963. He served four years in the United States Navy. Following his honorable discharge, Stan settled in Cleveland, Ohio.
