Scott Greving

Scott Allen, son of Duane and Sue (Balk) Greving, was born March 16, 1981 at Manning, Iowa. He grew up in Carroll and graduated from Carroll High School in 1999. Scott worked as a janitor during his schooling at Carroll High. Scott helped his dad farm for a short time and then worked part time in the kitchen at Hy-Vee for 13 years. Scott was a member of Holy Spirit Parish. In his spare time he enjoyed mowing the lawn, fishing, trap shooting and board games. Scott thoroughly enjoyed golfing in the summer. He was an avid fan of WWE, Iowa Hawkeyes, Dallas Cowboys and the Carroll Tigers. He never met a dog that he didn't like. Above all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Scott died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the age of 33 years, 1 month and 3 days. Preceding him in death are his grandparents Harry and Thelma Grimsman and Bernard H. and Edna Greving, cousin Brian Koenig and aunt Patty Greving. Scott is survived by his parents Duane and Sue Greving of Carroll; three siblings: Monica Vanderheiden of Carroll; Paula and Bill Finken of Carroll and Chris and Mary Greving of Manning; nieces and nephews: Curtis Vanderheiden, Ashley Finken, Bailey Finken, Dezeray Vanderheiden, Tanner Finken, Caleb Vanderheiden, Lauren Greving and Andrew Greving; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation: 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2014 Ohde Twit Funeral Home Rosary : 4:00 PM Prayer Service : 6:30 PM Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Thursday, April 24, 2014 Holy Spirit Church Interment will follow Mass at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
