Raymond Henry , son of Robert and Susan (Daniel) Reiff, was born May 21, 1926 in Carroll, Iowa. He attended school at Mount Carmel until his senior year and graduated from Carroll High School in 1944.

     On February 5, 1947 Ray was united in marriage with Ethel Staiert in Maple River. Five children were born to this union.  Ray farmed in the early years and then had a successful sales career, selling cars and farm equipment. He was a member of St. Lawrence parish and St. Lawrence Choir. He was also a member of the RSVP Singers, Knights of Columbus, and the Moose Lodge. Ray volunteered at the New Hope Village Store and the St. Anthony Hospital Atrium Desk. He enjoyed playing cards and travel by mobile homes to warmer climates in the winter months.

     On Sunday, May 27, 2018 Ray passed away at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa. He was 92 years of age.

     Ray is survived by his wife Ethel Reiff of Carroll; five children: Rich (Kathy) Reiff of Madison, Wisconsin; Sue (Tom) Twit of Bennington, Nebraska; Tom (Cheryl) Reiff of Coralville; Cindy (Alan) Kraus of Carroll and Jean Reiff of Carroll; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Louise Schlorholtz of Mason City and Karen Shouten of Carroll; a step-brother Art Reiff of Carroll; two step-sisters Della Reiff of Carroll and Norma Jean (Cliff) Eischeid of Carroll; a sister-in-law Ella Mae Reiff of Carroll; and a brother-in-law Joe Polka of Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepfather Louis; two sisters: Marion Polka and Margaret “Bubbles” Baumhover; two brothers : Paul and wife Irene Reiff and Bob and wife Judy Reiff; a brother-in-law Floyd Schlorholtz; a step-sister Marcella Sullivan; a step-brother Alvin Reiff and a stepsister-in-law Marilyn “Sal” Reiff.
