Ramona Mae, daughter of Hayden Frank and Viola Ellen (Brouchous) McGee was born January 14, 1930 near St. James, Minnesota. In 1935, her family moved by horse and wagon to a farm south of Sac City, IA. They later moved to the Star Community northeast of Coon Rapids. Ramona attended country school and Coon Rapids High School, graduating in 1948. Ramona worked at D & D Caf and Southside Caf in Coon Rapids.

    On February 14, 1951, she was united in marriage with Henry Delton Bud? Schulze at Jefferson, Iowa. The couple made their home northwest of Coon Rapids and years later 5 miles north of Coon Rapids. In addition to being a busy farmwife and homemaker, Ramona helped plow and harvest during the early years.

    In the 1960s Ramona enjoyed square dancing with the Western Whirlers Square Dance Club. In later years she enjoyed gardening, flowers, traveling the United States, and most importantly spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a lifetime member of the Pleasant Ridge Community Church south of Glidden.

    Even though she suffered the progressive effects of Parkinsons disease, Ramona adapted well.  Son Larry moved back in 2005 to help his dad care for his mother. In early December 2007, Ramona became a resident at Carroll Health Center in Carroll, Iowa.   She died there on December 15, 2007, at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 1 day.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Christopher Schulze in 1987; sister Waneta Bucklin; brothers-in-law Harry Schulze and Don Schulze and wife Velma; sisters-in-law Frances and husband Eldred Reever and Evelyn and husband Roy Hartwigsen.

    Ramona is survived by her husband Henry Delton Bud? Schulze of Coon Rapids; sons Larry Schulze of Coon Rapids and Randy Schulze and wife Colleen of Scranton; grandchildren: Travis Schulze and wife Heather and Ryan Schulze, all of Bossier City, LA; Michael Schulze and Jessice Schulze, both of Glidden; great-grandson Noah Schulze; siblings Louetta and husband Leo Panske of Cadwell, GA; Delores and husband Darrell Alderman of Independence, MO; Roland McGee and wife Janie of Aquilla, TX; and Delbert McGee and wife Janice of Mercer, MO; sister-in-law Dorothy Schulze of Coon Rapids; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
