Pauline Marie, daughter of Leon and Emma (Volquartsen) Cramer, was born January 24, 1923 at Dow City, Iowa. She grew up in Dow City and, at the age of nine, moved to Manning where she graduated from Manning High School in 1941. Pauline worked at Thrifty Food Market for 10 years, and then at the Manning Creamery as a bookkeeper until it closed in 1971.
On December 9, 1965 Pauline was united in marriage with George Graves at the First Presbyterian Church in Manning.
Pauline was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women and the Martha Circle.
On Sunday, May 19, 2019 Pauline passed away at the Manning Plaza Nursing Home in Manning, Iowa. She was 96 years, 3 months and 26 days of age.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband George Graves in 1989, and two sisters Audrey (LaVerne) Olsen and Madlyn (Gordon) Younie.
She is survived by two nieces: Kathy Clement of Fort Dodge and Sandi Nemitz of Ankeny; a nephew Randal Younie of Woodbine; step-children: Ken (Beverly) Graves of Jefferson and Joan Graves of Virginia; other relatives and friends.
