     Paul Wiederien, son of Leo A. and Florence (Conroy) Wiederien was born November 11, 1924 in Carroll, Iowa.  Paul died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Carroll Health Center in Carroll, Iowa.  He attended Carroll country schools.  He was married to Evelyn Davis on October 9, 1947 at Sts. Peter and Pauls Church in Carroll by Fr. Lambert Schenkelberg.    Paul farmed south east of Carroll and did custom trucking.  He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, enjoyed fixing damaged cars and playing cards.

    Paul was preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn L. Wiederien (2003), son-in-law Steve Parrish, sister Delores in infancy;  brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lois Lambertz, Harold and Ethel Mae Davis, and Joseph (Bud) Kennebeck.

    Paul is survived by his children DeLynne Clausen of Omaha, Nebraska, Bev Nepple and her husband Don of Carroll, Bill Wiederien and his wife Jennifer of Carroll, Donna Parrish of Kearney, Missouri, Ron Wiederien and his wife Kay of Haysville, Kansas, and Lee Wiederien and his wife Janet of Des Moines, Iowa; 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brothers Gene Wiederien and wife Lola of Glidden, Iowa, Dick Wiederien of Carroll; sisters Bernice Wenck and husband Bill of Carroll, and Rita Kennebeck of Carroll.
