     Patricia Ann Mounce, daughter of Eugene Edward and Virgil (VanAuken) Kelley was born March 27, 1931 in Estherville, Iowa.  Patty died at her home on Wednesday, April 2, 2008.   She graduated from Lake City High School, attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and graduated from Iowa State University. 

    Patty was married to Charles W. Mounce on December 26, 1951 in Lake City, Iowa.  Following marriage they spent several years stationed in San Antonio, Texas, Amarillo, Texas, Tokyo, Japan and Des Moines, Iowa, with the U.S. Air Force where Chuck completed his active duty military career.  From the late 1950s until 1979 they lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and from 1979 until 1982 they resided in Carroll.  From 1982 to 1993 they lived and worked in La Sueur, Minnesota.  In 1993 they moved to their present address in Carroll.  Patty spent her working career as a self employed interior designer.  She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and Choir, St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary, Carroll Community Chorus, enjoyed playing bridge,  and had a lifetime love of music.     She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Eugene Kelley.     Patty is survived by her husband Chuck of Carroll; a son Kerry D. Mounce and wife Nancee of Anna, Texas; grandchildren Nicholas and his wife Genny Mounce, MaryBeth, Paul, and Mallory Mounce and two great grandchildren.  She is also survived by sisters Carol Eichhorn and husband Phillip of Lake City, Iowa and Kay Brown and husband Fred of Fremont, Nebraska.
