Andrew Orlando Juny? Hanson III, son of Andrew and Olga (Rasmussen) Hanson II, was born October 17, 1926, at Polk Township, Shelby County, Iowa. He was baptized at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Polk Township. Juny was a 1944 graduate from Kirkman High School. As a boy he was active in 4-H Club and showed cattle at the Iowa State Fair.  Juny worked on the family farm and for other area farmers, drove a livestock truck and delivered the Sunday newspaper.

On November 13, 1949, Juny was united in marriage with Ladelle Wiese at Sioux City. The couple lived near Manilla and farmed with his brother Homer. Beginning in 1970 Juny worked at Farmland Foods in Denison for 17 years. They moved closer to Manilla in 1981.

Juny was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla. He enjoyed watching auto racing and was a Dale Earnhardt fan.  Juny enjoyed special times at the lake, family gatherings and especially time with his grandchildren.

In August 2008 Junys health began to decline. He died at home in Manilla surrounded by his family on Monday night, November 3, 2008, at the age of 82 years and 17 days.
