          Mildred was born October 2, 1928 in Dimock, South Dakota the daughter of Frank P. Weber and Anna Grohs.  She died October 31, 2007 at Brighton Gardens in Prairie Village, Kansas after a long illness.

            On September 27, 1948 she married Marvin F. Sernett at St. Cecelia Church in Hastings, Nebraska.  She graduated from high school in South Dakota and was employed in a technical position with the telephone company.  Following her marriage she worked as the accountant with Sernett Department Stores for many years.  Mildred did a great deal of volunteer work with St. Lawrence Schools, Kuemper High School and was the past president of St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary.  She had a life long love of reading and enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with family and friends.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin Sernett in 1998, a brother Donald Weber, and  a daughter Jean Sernett;

            Mildred is survived by sons Rod Sernett and wife Judy of Lone Tree, Colorado, Jeff Sernett and wife Liz of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Greg Sernett of Lincoln, Nebraska, Tim Sernett and wife Jennifer of Overland Park, Kansas, Steve Sernett and wife Lisa of Orinda, California; ten grandchildren; brother Jerry Weber and wife Rubyanne of Junction City, Iowa; sisters Lorraine Rynearson of Florida, Germaine Tipton of California, Dorothy Hinrichs and husband Leonard of Colorado, and Jane Kennedy of California;

            In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society and Catholic Charities.
