Michael T. Allen

Michael Thomas, son of Thomas Allen and Dawn (Taylor) Allen, was born October 10, 1984, at Manning, Iowa. He grew up in Templeton, Carroll and on an acreage near Lidderdale. Michael graduated from Carroll High School in 2003. He worked at Mike's Meat Locker in Carroll. Michael had three children with Ashley Henkle - Zack, Ethan and Eian Allen. He loved to play with his children, take them to the pool in the summer and watch them ride their Power Wheels. Michael was passionate about his hobby of building and driving remote control cars. He loved animals and had two pet dogs, Andy and Trinity. Through the years Michael enjoyed (loud!) music and installed many car stereos for himself and friends. He was also proud to be a good cook. Michael loved his parents, family and children deeply. Michael died unexpectedly at his home in Carroll on Thursday, September 23, 2010. He was 25 years, 11 months and 13 days of age. Preceding Michael in death are his grandparents Allen and June Taylor. He is survived by his parents Thomas and Dawn Allen of Carroll; brother Gregg Taylor (Jenny) of Carroll; children Zack, Ethan and Eian Allen; grandparents Merlin and Pat Zubrod of Templeton; aunts and uncles: Lola Slingluff (Dick) of Garwin; David Taylor of Garwin; Deb Musfeldt of Carroll; Karla Spoo of Coon Rapids; Tricia Blum (Scott) of Grimes; step-aunt Rhonda Wulf (Bud) of Omaha; step-uncle Randy Zubrod (Karen) of Templeton; other relatives and friends.
