Michael Ewing

Michael Ewing, age 34, of Manning, and formerly of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at his residence in Manning. No services are planned at this time. Ohde Funeral Home in Manning assisted Mike's family with arrangements.

Michael Thomas Ewing was born in Sioux City, Iowa. He grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 2005. Mike moved to Manning little over a year ago.

Michael had a passion for cooking and worked as a chef and cook at numerous restaurants. He loved fishing and some of his favorite memories involve fishing with his family in Mobridge and with his dad in Sioux City. His family and friends meant everything to him, especially his son, Sam. Mike was always willing to lend a hand and be there for everyone. He looked forward to Poker Night with his friends. Mike loved baseball and football and was a huge fan of the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears.

On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, Michael passed away at his residence in Manning, at the age of 34.

Michael is survived by his son Sam of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; his father Randy Ewing of Sioux City; his mother Joyce Hagen of Mobridge, South Dakota; a sister Pam Ashcraft and husband Greg of Sioux City; a niece Kendall Ashcraft; nephews: Quinton Ashcraft, Easton Ashcraft, and Bentley Ashcraft; his grandmother Dora Ewing of Sioux City and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Richard Ewing, Arthur Hagen and Anna Hagen.
