Michael Enenbach

Michael Francis Enenbach was born on March 27, 1961, to Phillip Michael and Aloha Hazel (Waterbury) Enenbach in Manning, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed in his faith at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manning. Mike grew up in Manning and attended Manning Schools before continuing his education at Lincoln Tech Trade School in Des Moines, where he studied to become a diesel mechanic.

On August 20, 1982, Mike married Jill Cantrell in Carroll, Iowa, and together they were blessed with three children. The couple eventually parted ways. Over the years, Mike worked as a skilled diesel mechanic, holding positions at Zeigler in Des Moines and later at Boeck Construction in Manilla. 

Mike had a knack for finding joy in the little things. He loved collecting treasures he discovered throughout his life, with a special fondness for knives and guns. He enjoyed the simplicity of watching old war movies and spending time with his family and friends. 

Michael passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at his home in Manning following a battle with cancer at the age of 63 years, nine months and 21 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Laura May Enenbach.

Michael is survived by his sons: Jeffrey Enenbach of Odebolt and Joshua (Melanie) Enenbach of Manilla; five grandchildren: Brandon Enenbach, Lydia Enenbach, Dylan Enenbach, Brayden Enenbach and Briella Enenbach; siblings: Valerie Enenbach of Carroll, Vincent Enenbach, Nicole Enenbach Braddy of Denison; dear friend, Jake Kalkhoff of Arcadia; and other family members and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. all on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manning. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
