Melvin Edwin, son of Bernard H. and Edna (Ludwig) Greving was born April 28, 1955 in Carroll, Iowa. He attended grade school at St. Mary’s School in Willey then later graduated from Carroll High School in 1973.
After high school, Melvin work in the Carroll area as farm help and a bull rider at rodeos. He had a passion for driving truck and drove for over 40 years.
He was a member of Whitetails Unlimited and North American Hunting Club. Melvin enjoyed gun shows, hunting, fishing and participating in rodeos. Above all his grandchildren were his greatest passion.
Melvin’s health began to decline in January of 2016. He died at his home in Lake View on March 14, 2016 at the age of 60 years, 10 months and 15 days.
Preceding him in death are his parents and nephew Scott Greving in 2014.
Melvin is survived by his children Kelly Huseman and her children Cassie and Eddie Brannan of Lake View, Lance (Melissa) Hoffman and their children E.J and Sandra Hoffman of Sac City and Samantha Hoffman of Houston, Texas; brothers Frank J. (Carol) Greving of Carroll and Duane (Sue) Greving of Carroll; nieces, nephews and other relatives
