Marjorie’s family will gather this summer in Omaha and then to Myrtle Beach, (one of her & Charles favorite place) for a final send off to memorialize her life.
Marjorie Loftus, daughter of William And Hulda (Ohrt) Ruhde was born March 1, 1920 in Manning, Iowa where she attended school.
On November 4, 1939 Marjorie was united in marriage with Charles H. Loftus at Manning. They were the parents of three children. Marjorie owned and worked at the Plaza Coffee Shoppe café in Denison for many years. She was known for her spunky personality and enjoyed laughing and kidding around. She had a great life and many life experiences in many different locations. Marjorie and Charles became residents of the Manning Plaza Nursing Home in July of 2006 and Charles died there on November 7, 2006. Marjorie continued to live at the Plaza until she joined her husband Charles in heaven along with many siblings, family & friends on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019.
Besides her husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Arlene Spack and Dorothy Wiese; and brother Harold Ruhde.
She will be remembered fondly by her children, Nancy (Larry) Rowedder, Phoenix, AZ; Dennis (Carolyn) Loftus, Newark, DE, and Pamela Graham, Omaha, NE and 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister Vergene Hausman.
