Marjorie Lillian Marj?, daughter of Edward and Lillian (Lahr) Mell was born July 24, 1924, at Des Moines, Iowa. Her family soon moved to the Manilla area where Marj attended country school. After completing the 10th grade Marj began helping her mother care for ill family members. She later worked for Longneckers in Manilla.

Marj was united in marriage with Elmer Clouse at Sacred Heart Church in Manilla. She was a homemaker, remaining at home to care for their three daughters. In 1977, Marj began working as a CNA at the Manilla Manor, retiring in 1986.

Marj was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Alter Society. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo, working on crossword puzzles, watching T.V., cooking, baking, and most importantly spending time with her family.

In October 2004, Marj became a resident of the Manilla Manor. She died there on February 5, 2008, at the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 12 days.

Marj was preceded in death by her father Edward Mell; mother and step-father Lillian and Les Robertson; husband Elmer Clouse; an infant son; and brother Leo Mell and wife Loretta.

She is survived by her brother Donald Mell and wife Ruth of Portage, WI; daughters: Christine and husband Richard Mohatt of Littleton, CO; Teri and husband John Everson of Manilla and Carrie Raymond of Manilla; grandchildren: Anthony Mohatt and wife Jennifer; Jon Mohatt and wife Courtney; Stephanie and husband Jason Cole; Luke Mohatt; Krystal and husband Noel Wiebelhaus; Derrick Clouse and girlfriend Jenni Meier; Roxanne and husband Luke Haffner; and Donna Raymond; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
