   Marcella Lucille?, daughter of Joseph and Amelia (Helbig) Owen was born on March 21, 1918 at Springfield, Missouri. She attended Catholic School and after her graduation she attended St. Johns School of Nursing and began working as a nurse in Springfield.

    On September 14, 1944 Lucille was united in marriage with Delbert Montgomery in Springfield, Missouri and the couple soon moved to Carroll, Iowa where Lucille worked as a homemaker and cared for the couples seven children.   In the early 1960s she began working again as a nurse for St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll. She retired in the early 1980s.

    Lucille was a member of Holy Spirit Church, where she stayed involved in many church activities. She also enjoyed volunteering for the American Cancer Society and installing lifelines alert systems to those in need. Lucille loved to play bridge, bake and watch St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.

    After the death of her husband Delbert in 1997, Lucille remained at home in Carroll until moving to the Swan House in 2004. In 2006 she became a resident of the Carroll Health Center Nursing Home where she died on May 21, 2009 at the age of 91 years and 2 months.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Robert Owen.

    She is survived by her children: Jeanne Montgomery of Glenwood; Mary and husband Jim Soloperto of Worcester, MA; Carole Inman of Frisco, TX; Marge and husband Jim Von Bon of Johnston; Joleen and husband Greg Edwards of New Port Beach, CA; Gloria and husband Jim Brown of Vinton and Joseph Montgomery and wife Melinda of Italy, TX; 15 grandchildren; twin sister Louise ODay of Oklahoma Cit, OK; brother Bill Owen and wife Jan of Apache Junction, AZ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
