Lorrine K Danner

Lorrine K. Danner was born February 26, 1924 to the late John F. and Crystal (Carper) Murray at Eden Village of Templeton. She was baptized on February 29, 1924 at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton. She received her education from Carroll County, Iowa.

On November 19, 1947, Lorrine was united in marriage to Clifford John Danner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dedham. To this union, they were blessed with three children. The couple made their home south of Dedham, then in 1949 moved to the Templeton area.

She was a hard worker who went above and beyond for her family. Lorrine always made sure everyone had enough to eat and made sure to be the last one to sit at the dinner table. She was an avid gardener and painter; she especially enjoyed painting bird houses. Lorrine will be remembered by her homemade cookies, bread, bologna, pies and making lunch boxes for Chris and Matt while they were out in the field.

Lorrine passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning attaining the age of ninety-seven years, four months and fifteen days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Cliff in 2006; granddaughter: Amy Jo Ehlers; brother: LaVerne Murray; sister-in-law: Margaret Murray.

She is survived by her children: Marcy and her husband Dale Ehlers of Manning, Rich Danner and his wife Nancy of Templeton and Mary and her husband Duane Vonesh of Ankeny; grandchildren: Holly and her husband Jose Jimenez of Oakland, Oregon, Chris Danner and significant other Cindy of Templeton, Matt Danner and significant other Michelle of Carroll, Danielle and her husband Brian Sullivan of Des Moines; great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Payton and Kamdyn Danner; Carlos, Katelyn, Allie and Wendy Jimenez; Haley Sullivan; Layne and Aubrey Prichard; other relatives and friends.
