Linda Kathleen (Saunders) Deiber was born February 8, 1948 in Manning, Iowa to Frederick W. and Jessie B. (Webster) Saunders. She graduated from Manilla High School with the Class of 1966.
On October 8, 1967, Linda was united in marriage to Alan Deiber at the Methodist Church in Manilla, where they began their journey together. Their union brought forth two sons, Matt and Nate. A dedicated parent Linda found joy and fulfillment in raising her boys, and later, she became a cherished grandmother, actively attending her grandson’s games, celebrating his achievements, and creating lasting memories through her unwavering support.
Linda dedicated much of her professional life to education, beginning her career as a paraprofessional for Omaha Public Schools in 1983. Her 17-year tenure at Harrison Elementary was marked by her commitment to nurturing young minds and supporting her colleagues. After retiring, she devoted herself to caring for her grandson, reflecting her deep love for family and the importance she placed on nurturing relationships.
An engaging and warm individual, Linda's interests were varied. She found pleasure in puzzle books and crosswords, enjoyed the uplifting nature of the game-show network, and cherished the quiet moments spent with a good book in hand. A wonderful cook and baker, her scalloped potatoes were particularly beloved by friends and family alike.
