Leah Cretsinger

   Leah Cretsinger, daughter of Lawrence and Gladys Davis was born in 1931 in Coon Rapids, Iowa and passed away in North Liberty, Iowa on April 9, 2019 after a long illness. 

   Leah graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1949 and worked at Garst and Thomas after graduation.

   In January of 1955, Leah married Gordon Cretsinger in Coon Rapids.  Leah and Gordon moved around the Midwest where Gordon worked on various construction projects for Spencer Construction. The couple eventually settled in Coralville, Iowa where they raised their four children. 

  Leah and Gordon enjoyed square dancing, bowling, traveling, making Christmas Candy, attending high school class reunions and spending time with their family.  Leah was a Girl Scout leader and worked for the Iowa City School District Lunch Program before retiring. 

  Leah Cretsinger, age 87, of North Liberty and formerly of Coon Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Countryview Nursing Home in North Liberty.

   Preceding Leah in death was her husband, Gordon in 1997; her parents; infant brother Charles; sisters Dorothy Andersen and Mary Jane Condiff; brothers and sisters-in-law Harvey Andersen; Don Condiff; Gary Cretsinger and Dollie Cretsinger.  

   Surviving Leah are her children: Linda (Doug) Beck; Jennifer (John) Ruth; Jeff (Jill) Cretsinger and Brenda Cretsinger; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one more arriving in September; brothers and sisters-in-law: Lyle Cretsinger; Ruth Ann Cretsinger; Dean and Sherri Cretsinger; Gene Cretsinger; Maxine Cretsinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
