     Lawrence A., son of Anton and Anna (Pluckhahn) Sporleder was born July 24, 1925, at Carroll, Iowa. On July 20, 2008, Lawrence died at Carroll, Iowa at the age of 82.     He attended Lidderdale Country School  In 1943 he enlisted in the U.S. Army. On July, 24, 1947 he was united in marriage with Agnes Veit at St. Peter and Paul Parsonage in Carroll.      Lawrence worked as a farmer, roofer, hospital orderly, tank wagon driver for Community Oil, bus driver for Kuemper Schools, and delivery man for Anns flowers for 21 years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Church and served as executive director of the Weenie Roast Bunch. Lawrence enjoyed fishing, woodworking, playing cards, hunting, watching Cubs baseball and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.     He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Carl Sporleder, Ervin Sporleder and Jerry Templeton.    Lawrence is survived by his wife Agnes Sporleder of Carroll; daughters: Caroline and husband Mike Humlicek of Carroll; Connie and husband Darwin Betts of Carroll; Christie and husband Rick Whitaker of Glidden; Cynthia and husband Tom Langel of Carroll and Cathy and husband Peter Tutmark of Canby, Oregon; 14 grandchildren,, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
