Kenneth W. Schwartz

    Kenneth William Schwartz passed away January 2, 2008 at the age of 64 years.  He was born October 17, 1943 to Raymond and Lizzie Schick Schwartz.  Ken lived on the family farm south of Bayard until moving into the Bayard Care Center. He lived with his sister and brother- in- law, Gladys and Keith Peterson near Neola, IA for 15 years.  Ken enjoyed animals and being outside.

    Ken dearly loved music all his life. He often played the piano and loved to sing. He also loved his family and easily made many friends.  Ken entered the Bayard Nursing and Rehab Center until it closed and was a resident of the Panora Nursing and Rehab Center.

    Preceding him in death were his parents, sisters Gladys Peterson ( husband Keith), Edna Keimig, brother Howard Schwartz, and brother in law Lloyd Hattabaugh.

    Surviving family members include sisters Grace Hattabaugh of Roseville, IL; Helen Kulhavy ( husband Milo) of Casa Grande, AZ; sister- in- law Lela Schwartz of Guthrie Center;  brother Ray Schwartz of Bayard; and brother- in- law Tony Keimig of Stronghurst, IL.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

    Ken will  be remembered as being a gentle, kind and loving person who gave much happiness to others.  He will be greatly missed by all.

    Cremation has taken place and services for Ken will be held at a later date.
