      Joseph Charles, son of Eugene and Clara (Ellerbrock) Hann, was born January 31, 1921 at home in Coon Valley Township, Sac County, Iowa.  He attended school in Mount Carmel. Joseph owned and operated his own farm north of Auburn until his retirement at age 62.       In his spare time he enjoyed watching television and playing cards. Joseph died on January 5, 2008 at Blackhawk Life Care Center in Lake View at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 5 days.          He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother at infancy, and brother-in-law Henry J. Schaapveld.          Joseph is survived by sisters Elizabeth Hann of Auburn and Theresa Schaapveld of West Liberty; and nephew Henry E. Schaapveld.
