Jasper Alan Dopheide

Jasper Alan Dopheide, son of Cory John Dopheide and Rachel Marie Christoffersen was born on December 22, 2009 at 7:01 PM at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. He was soon taken to Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha and cared for in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. There, with the help of doctors, nurses and his family, Jasper showed his fighting spirit by battling against the odds. On December 29, 2009 Jasper's fight came to a peaceful end. At 9:28 PM he died at Bergan Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was seven days old. Jasper is survived by his parents; grandparents Chris and Diane Dopheide of Templeton; Lori Christoffersen of Carroll and Brad and Renae Christoffersen of Ft. Worth, TX; great grandparents: Shirley Eischeid of Carroll; Louis and Marian Grossman of Carroll; Mardell Christoffersen of Audubon and Billy and Esther Schuetz of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; uncles Bryan Dopheide of Colorado Springs, CO and Jacob Christoffersen of Omaha, NE; many great-aunts and uncles. Private family services will be held for Jasper. Ohde Twit Funeral Home in Carroll is in charge of arrangements.
