He attended various schools including Elk Horn, Des Moines, Nevada and Colo, and eventually earned his G.E.D. Over the years he held various construction jobs before becoming an accomplished songwriter and musician. On May 22, 2004, he was united in marriage with Dale Sudduth at their home south of Carroll, Iowa where they remained until the present.
Dago was a member of the Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club for 37 years. He enjoyed his life the most when he was riding his motorcycle, performing his music, or being with his brothers.
He had suffered from diabetes for many years, however his death was sudden and deeply devastating. He passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the age of 58.
Preceding him in death is his father, Francis Marchellino and brother, Tony Marchellino.
Dago is survived by his wife Dale Marchellino of Carroll; mother Dorothy Hansen of Kimballton; sister Keri Rojas of Webster City; half-sister Marjan Vosberg of Hampton; two daughters Jami (Mark) Fite of Basehor, KS and Megan Marchellino of Iowa City; three grandchildren Chance Allison, M.J. Fite, and Marlaina Marchellino; many cousins and other relatives; all his brothers in Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club and many friends.
Dago will continue to live on through the words of his music and the lives he changed by donating tissue and organs to the Iowa Donor Network.
“In the end, the lives we touch
tell the measure of the man.”
