Irma Agnes, daughter of Eugene and Clara (Stork) Schettler, was born April 23, 1929, at Carroll, Iowa. She graduated from St. Angela Academy in Breda. On February 19, 1952, Irma was united in marriage with Lawrence Frischmeyer at Breda. Seven children were born to this union. The family lived near Carroll, where Lawrence farmed. Irma was a busy mother, farmer's wife and homemaker. Lawrence died in 1986 and Irma in 2015. In her later years, Irma moved a few times to be near to her children. When her health declined, she moved to the Windsor Manor Assisted Living Community in Indianola, IA, and subsequently to the Carlisle Wellness and Rehab Center in Carlisle, IA. Irma died there on Monday, February 2, 2015, at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 10 days. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lawrence Frischmeyer; daughter Diane Ross; grandson James Domino; sister Donna Schettler; brother-in-laws: Robert Reynolds, Edmund Danzer, Leonard Frischmeyer and Kenneth Stangl; and sister-in-law Margaret Stangl. Irma is survived by one son and five daughters: Michael Frischmeyer (Mary Beth), Fort Dodge; Linda Frischmeyer (R. Michael Kip), Portland, OR; Pat Hansen (Ron), Kankakee, IL; Alice Weander (Tim), Omaha, NE; Marie Domino (Bill), Norwalk; and Karen Pickthorn (Bill), Palo Alto, CA; 11 grandchildren: Conner and Megan Frischmeyer; Kirsten Ross; Gunnar Hansen; Nate (Kristen), Nick (Sable) and Katie Weander; Chester and Joe (Marie) Domino; and Ben and Anna Pickthorn; six siblings: Irene Reynolds, Omaha, NE; Joan Danzer, Carroll; Ruth Mescher (Paul), Manning; Edwin Schettler, Emmettsburg; Elmer Schettler (Anne), Pagosa Springs, CO; and Melvin Schettler (Barb), Des Moines; other relatives and friends.
