Henry Joseph, son of Louis and Frances (Willenborg) Uhlenkamp, was born October 22, 1929, at Dedham, Iowa. When Henry was a young boy, his mother passed away and the family moved to Templeton to be closer to his grandparents. He attended Sacred Heart School in Templeton.
Hank, as many knew him, then worked for area farmers before taking a job with the railroad going through Templeton. He moved to Carroll in the 1960s and settled into the career of roofing, which he did until his retirement in the late 1980s.
Throughout the years, Hank was a member of Holy Spirit Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, going to the Moose Lodge, and visiting with family and friends.
On Saturday, March 16, 2019, Hank passed away unexpectedly at his apartment in Carroll, Iowa. He was 89 years, 4 months and 22 days of age.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Delores (Norbert) Brincks; brother Joseph (Shirley) Uhlenkamp; brother-in-law Jack Foley; and nephew Tom Brincks.
Hank is survived by his sister, Irene Foley of Carroll and by twelve nieces and nephews and their families
