Helen was born May 14, 1915 in Menlo, Iowa to Charles and Ruth (Boynton) Clifford. She died October 22, 2007 at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, Iowa.
She graduated from Menlo High School in Menlo, Iowa. She married John Rasmussen on July 3, 1932 in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She worked at a Menlo Restaurant for many years. She enjoyed baking bread, cookies, playing piano, and sewing.
She is survived by sons John Rasmussen and Gary Rasmussen of Jefferson, Iowa and a daughter Ruth Rhines of Phoenix, Arizona, and four grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, and sisters Irene Andersen and Betty Guess.
