   Gregory Alan, son of Richard White and Diana Kinnick, was born November 30, 1968, in the Guthrie County Hospital in Guthrie Center, Iowa. He grew up in Bayard, spending much of his time with his two brothers in the home of his maternal grandparents Lyle and Marie Kinnick, while his mother worked. During his teenage years he acquired the nickname of Rambo as he was always on the go. Greg graduated from Guthrie Center High School in 1988.

   Greg enjoyed movies, hunting and helping anyone who needed help. He had never met a stranger and was a very loving and caring person. Greg worked for Dick Stone during his teenage years and at other times during his short life. From April 17, 2000 to April 29, 2007 Greg worked for Tri-State Pavement during good weather and for Leon Eisheid during the winter months. He also did plumbing and heating work for Jeff Carstens.  Greg lived with his brother Chris in Bayard

   Greg died suddenly and unexpectedly along with his very special friend Kimberly Johnson as a result of gunshot wounds in Bayard, Iowa, on Sunday evening, April 29, 2007. He was 38 years, 4 months and 30 days of age.

   Preceding him in death are his grandparents Lyle and Marie Kinnick and Richard Kness and step-grandparent Edwin Sheer.

   He is survived by his parents Diana and husband John Sheer of Bayard and Richard White; brothers Chris White of Bayard and Justin J.J.? Sheer of Bayard; grandparent Marjorie Kness of Donna, TX and step-grandparent Phyllis Sheer of Bayard; many aunts, uncles, cousins; other relatives and friends.

A memorial fund has been established for Greg Rambo? White at Iowa Savings Bank in Bayard.
