Glen Vernice Halbur

Glen Vernice, son of Vernice and Nancy (Yoss) Halbur, was born June 26, 1955, at Carroll, Iowa. He graduated from Kuemper High School in 1973. Glen moved to Omaha, Nebraska and worked at Lumberman's for a time. He then moved to Denim Springs, Louisiana where he worked for Capitol Steel. Glen retired in 2010 and moved closer to home in Lake View, Iowa. Through the years, Glen enjoyed woodworking, gardening and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and always had a soft spot in his heart for cats. Glen died at his home in Lake View, Iowa on Monday, April 6, 2015. He was 59 years, 9 months and 11 days of age. Glen is survived by his daughter Traci Daniels and her husband Marcell and their children Rachel Halbur, Ronnie Halbur, Marcell Daniels and Madison Daniels, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; parents Vernice and Nancy Halbur of Carroll; siblings: Paula Smith of Boone, Iowa; Mark Halbur of LeMars, Iowa; Gary Halbur and his wife Becky of Omaha, Nebraska; and Vicki Halbur of Omaha, Nebraska; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
