Florence Ellanora, daughter of John and Frances (Wieland) Heiman was born of August 16, 1918 at Carroll, Iowa. She lived on a farm near Maple River and then moved to a farm near Carroll. Florence then attended Sts. Peter and Paul School in Carroll. After her schooling Florence worked for Earl May Seed Company. On November 9, 1937 Florence was united in marriage with Gordon W. Conrad at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. The couple had two children and Florence worked as a homemaker. From 1949 to 1979 they made their home in Rockwell City. After Gordon's retirement they moved to St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1980, Gordon passed away and Florence returned to Carroll. In late 2004 Florence returned to St. Paul and became a resident of Lyngblomsten Care Center. On August 18, 2010 Florence passed away there at the age of 92 years and 2 days. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law Delbert Anderson and brothers Wilbur and her twin brother Elmer Heiman. She is survived by her children: Jean Anderson of Crawfordsville, Indiana and John Conrad and wife Barbara of Lake Elmo, Minnesota; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law Arlene Heiman of Carroll; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
