Elizabeth "Betty" Eischeid

February 19, 1929 — January 5, 2011

Elizabeth Inez "Betty", daughter of William D. and Inez C. (Skinner) Lux, was born on February 19, 1929 at Carroll, Iowa. She grew up in Lidderdale where she attended Holy Family Grade School. Betty then graduated from Carroll High School and began working as a bartender at her family's business in Lidderdale. On October 18, 1958 she was united in marriage with Paul P. Eischeid at Holy Family Church in Lidderdale. The couple made their home in Carroll where Betty worked as a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church. Together Betty and Paul enjoyed dancing and listening to big band music. In 2008, Betty became a resident of the Carroll Health Center Nursing Home. On January 5, 2011 she passed away there at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 17 days. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2008 and brothers-in-law Robert E. Lucey and Malachy J. Morrissey. She is survived by her sisters: Lois Lucey of Tacoma, Washington; Beverly Morrissey of Kirksville, Missouri and Kathy and husband Jack Ramaekers of Carroll; brother Dan Lux and wife Beverly of Fremont, Nebraska; 14 nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
