    Eileen Katherine, daughter of Ambrose and Evelyn (Seidl) Haubrich, was born June 20, 1949 in Carroll, Iowa. She grew up in Dedham and attended Carroll Kuemper Schools and graduated in 1967.

    On November 29, 1969, she was united in marriage with Dale Fick in Dedham, Iowa. Five daughters were born into this union.  Eileen stayed home to care for her children and also provided daycare for other children in her home. When her youngest reached school age Eileen began working as a chiropractic assistant at Soppe Chiropractic in Carroll.

    Eileen loved gardening, knitting, crocheting and baking.  Above all she loved spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren. She was also a  member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Coon Rapids.

    In 2005, Eileen was diagnosed with A.L.S. Through the loving care of her family and Carroll Area Nursing she was able to remain at her home in Coon Rapids. On April 8, 2008, she died there, surrounded by family, at the age of 58 years, 9 months, and 19 days.

    Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Alan Haubrich and Dale Fick.

    She is survived by her daughters: Jodi and husband Lee Coons of Perry; Julie and husband Mark Winnett of Coon Rapids; Jill Fick of Gilroy, CA; Jenna and husband Jason Rosenbeck of Coon Rapids and Jamie Fick and fianc Lucas Richardson of Coon Rapids; grandchildren: Tyler Smith, Zachary Smith, Spencer Winnett, Kelsey Winnett, Katelyn Winnett, Macy Winnett, Dominic Bozzo, Jalen Rosenbeck, Aidan Rosenbeck and Trey Rosenbeck; step-grandchildren Amanda Coons and Bryan Coons; siblings: Eugene and wife Cecelia Haubrich of Manning; Donna and husband John Walburn of Villa Grove, IL; Cindy and husband Paul Espenhover of Carroll and Sue Mozena of Carroll; mother-in-law Irene Fick of Coon Rapids; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
