     Donna Rae, daughter of Floyd and Celia (Hupp) Sigler was born August 23, 1936, at Old Carrollton, Iowa.  She attended Old Carrollton School and Coon Rapids High School.  In 1954, she married Clarence Reid and moved to Council Bluffs. Three sons were born into this union.  The family then moved to Coon Rapids where Donna began working at D & D Cafe.

     On July 22, 1965, she was united in marriage with Maurice Weeks in Coon Rapids. To this union three daughters were born. Donna worked for Coon Rapids School, P & S Coffee Shop and did seasonal work for Garst Seeds.

      After the death of her husband in October of 1984, Donna remained in Coon Rapids until moving to Bayard in 1987.  There she worked for Shacks Lounge.  Donna was an avid sports fan, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers. She collected various items and loved to gamble.

     Since 1988, Donna has lived with her companion Gary Smouse at their home in Bayard. When her health forced her to retire in 2005, Gary cared for her at home until January 5, 2009, when she was admitted to Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa. Donna died there on January 12th at the age of 72 years, 4 months, and 20 days.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Clarence Reid and Maurice Weeks; daughter Diane Weeks at infancy, great-granddaughter Kimberly Heemstra; brothers Keith Bud? Sigler and Gerald Red? Sigler and sister Oney Doty.

     Donna is survived by her long time companion Gary Smouse of Bayard; sons: Pete Reid and wife Becky of Van Wert; Dean Reid and Dennis Reid; daughters Debra and husband Dale Reichle of Le Mars and Annie and husband Tim Jessen of Norfolk, NE; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Rhoda Sigler of Bayard; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
