Donald Sapp

It is with great sadness that the family of Donald G. Sapp of Carroll, Iowa, announces his passing after a lengthy illness on Monday June 25, 2018, at the age of 84. 

Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Sonia (Olga) Sapp. Donald will be lovingly remembered by his children: Pamela (John) Brewster, David (Bev) Sapp, Tanya (Richard) Wilk, Donald (Vickie) Sapp, and Darlene Locke; his grandchildren: Joshua, Jana, Autumn, Jason, David, Nicole, Stephanie, Melissa, Donnie, Paige and Jordan and 22 great grandchildren, his extended family, loved ones and friends. Donald will also be remembered by his extended family, the children of his wife Sonia: Sonia “Cookie” and husband Scott; Mytae and husband Brad; Luis “Tony”; Michael and wife Kimberly; Sonia’s nephew Alfredo “Raymond” and wife Monica; and their children and grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Darlene K. (Whitefield) Sapp; his mother Margaret Sapp, his brother Albert Sapp, his sister Betty Bushman, his sister Phyllis Oswald.

Donald had a successful career of 22 years in the United States Air Force and 22 years Civil Service, among others.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm, at the Annunciation Catholic Church, 724 Elm St, Coon Rapids, IA. 50058; with Father Kevin Richter providing the service.  The burial will follow at the Highland Township Cemetery near Bayard, Iowa.  Those who desire may make a memorial donation in memory of Donald Sapp to the Annunciation Catholic Church in Coon Rapids, Iowa.
