Donald Brown

April 21, 1941 — September 10, 2010

Donald Richard, son of Norman and Mary (Chatterton) Brown, was born April 21, 1941 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. He attended school in Cardston. Don worked on moving oil rigs and driving semi-trucks before and after the fifteen years he spent working on the Alaska Pipeline. He specialized in taking the oversized loads no one else dared to take. On November 24, 1992 Don was united in marriage with Patricia Patrick. They lived a quiet life in rural Iowa near Coon Rapids. Don appreciated the simple things, such as a good cigar and playing with his two dogs. He loved spending time with his wife and family. Don was constantly puttering around in his shop - always tinkering with something. He also enjoyed his recent study of the scriptures and sharing his newfound knowledge with others. Don was waiting to unload his latest delivery in Florida when he died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, September 10, 2010, at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 20 days. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Fred Brown and daughter Penny Brown. Don is survived by his wife Patricia Brown of Coon Rapids; two step-children Mike Bargas and wife Tonya of Arvada, CO and Michelle and husband Rex Williams of Coon Rapids; two sons Adam Brown and wife Mary of Oakdale, MN and Anthony Brown and wife Jessica of Richfield, MN; brother David Brown and family of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada; sister-in-law Carol Brown and family of Lousana, Alberta, Canada; brother-in-law Hud Patrick and wife Marion of Camdenton, MO; 9 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
