Diana Kay, daughter of William and Patricia (Lightfoot) Sibbel, was born August 17, 1953, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Carroll, Iowa. She grew up north of Manning and graduated from Manning High School in 1972. Diane then attended DMACC in Ankeny.
On July 21, 1975, Diana was united in marriage with Robert Fagan. Two children were born to this union. Diana and Robert made their home on her family farm. Diana worked at GE in Carroll, Casey’s in Manning and then at UTC (Delevan) until her illness forced her to retire.
Diana was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Manning and was active with the Altar Society. She enjoyed gardening, farming, sewing and quilting. She loved going to Eastern Iowa and enjoy the scenery along the mighty Mississippi River. In her earlier years Diana served as a 4H leader.
On Thursday, July 25, 2019, Diane passed away at Accura Healthcare of Manning. She was 65 years, 11 months, and 8 days of age.
Diana is survived by her mother Pat Sibbel of Carroll; husband Robert Fagan of Manning; son William Fagan and wife Deanna of Manning; daughter Bettyjoe Fagan of Manning; grandson Joesph Fagan of Manning; sister Peggy Black and her husband Jim of Polk City; and brother-in-law Robert Snyder of Manning. She was preceded in death by her father William Sibbel; sister Connie Snyder; and her husband’s parents William and Wilma Fagan.
