Dennis Broich

Dennis Frank, son of Frank and Loretta (Steffes) Broich, was born March 5, 1957 at Carroll, Iowa. The family lived in Arcadia and he graduated from Kuemper High School in Carroll in1975. Denny worked for Winnebago in Forest City for a time and then moved briefly to California. Upon his return to Iowa, Denny work for the railroad for four years. He then worked for AGP in Manning for 26 years. Denny loved to fish and hunt, especially pheasant, and he lived a private, simple life. Following a car accident on November 18, 2013 Denny was hospitalized at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He died there from complications on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 18 days. Preceding Denny in death are his parents; siblings: Marion, in infancy; Jane Wessling; Esther and her husband Loren Leiting and Richard Broich; and brothers-in-law George Hoffman and Vernal Onken. Denny is survived by five sisters: Bonnie Onken of Lidderdale; Dorothy Hoffman of Lynchburg, VA; Rita and her husband Marvin Bruch of Manning; Phyllis and her husband George Wessling of Garner; and Chris and her husband Terry Assman of Omaha, NE; brother in law Paul Wessling of Anita; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
