Ohde Twit Funeral Home in Carroll, Iowa

A rosary will be held at 3:00 and a vigil service will be held at 7:00 Thursday at the funeral home.  The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church at 9:00 Friday for visitation prior to the funeral mass.

            Craig J. Goecke, son of Jerome and Norma (Berg) Goecke, was born Juanuary 11, 1961 in Carroll.  Craig became ill last November from a rare muscule disease.  Craig died October 15, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. 

            He graduated from Kuemper High School in Carroll.  He received degrees in Industrial Technology from Iowa State University and University of Northern Iowa.  He worked for the Pella Corporation in Carroll and taught at the Job Corps in Denison, Iowa, Christ the King in Breda, Iowa.  He also taught woodworking at Ventura Community School in Ventura, Iowa and Auto Care in the Davenport School District in Davenport, Iowa.  He loved classical music and played taps for the local America Legion Post.

            Craig was preceded in death by his father Jerome Goecke in 1994.

            He is survived by his mother Norma Goecke of Carroll; a brother Steve Goecke of North Ogden, Utah;  sisters Sharon Cox of Des Moines, Iowa and Carla Beste and husband Rick of Ames, Iowa; two nephews Jake and Josh Beste of Ames, Iowa
