    Connie Jo, daughter of Otis and Hazel Dudley was born August 21, 1950 at Ottumwa, Iowa.  She later moved with her family to Des Moines and then Glidden.  Connie graduated from Carroll High School. After high school she married Glenn Goode.  Three children were born into this union. Connie stayed home with her kids while they were young and later attended DMACC.

    Since 1988 she has lived with her husband Stan Hofbauer at their home near Coon Rapids.  Connie owned and operated the 141 Diner in Coon Rapids and over the years she has worked for various people as a bookkeeper, including Garst Farm Resort and Whiterock Conservatory.  Connie loved to play euchre, gamble, plant her flowers, and above all spend time with her grandchildren.    

    On April 23, 2008 Connie died suddenly and unexpectedly at her home. She was 57 years, 8 months and 2 days of age.

    Connie was preceded in death by her granddaughter Tiara Goode; a grandson James; and a nephew Joseph Hoffman.

    She is survived by her husband Stan Hofbauer of Coon Rapids; her children Lauri and husband Jason Ritchie of Grand Island, NE; Janna and husband Robert Vaughn II and Glenn Goode and Lashelle Peterson of Ames; step-children: Tony Hofbauer and wife Michelle of Ames; Jerremy Hofbauer and wife Carrie of Coon Rapids and Christey Crozier of Carroll; grandchildren: Sean Goode, Kimberly Goode, Scott White, Stacy Ritchie, Spencer Ritchie, Kelsey Ritchie, Kathryn Hofbauer, Matthew Hofbauer, Joseph Hofbauer, Darius Hofbauer, Abby Hofbauer, Megan Crozier, Haily Crozier, Taylor Crozier, Paige Crozier, Jaden Peterson, Robert Vaughn III and Cheryl Vaughn; parents Hazel and Otis Dudley; siblings: Jeannie and husband Jerry Brincks; Albert Dudley and wife Tari; Gary Wiseman; Janet Dudley and fianc Rory; Debbie Graves; and Paul Dudley and wife Liz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
