Clark Anthony Steen, 66, of Omaha, NE passed away on April 17, 2024.
Clark was born on October 27, 1957, to Leonard and Naomi Steen in Audubon, Iowa. He was the youngest of 5 siblings to this union. Clark attended Elk Horn-Kimballton School with the class of 1976. After high school, Clark started working for his uncles at Steen, Feed & Seed. This is where Clark learned a love for agriculture and all things seed-related. He spent the next few decades as a dedicated and successful Pioneer seed salesman, which was truly his passion and purpose all those years.
One of Clark’s proudest accomplishments in his life was welcoming his daughters into this world. Some great memories with his girls were making sure he threw them off the tube while boating, letting them style his hair, many snowmobile and four-wheeler rides, and even taking them coyote hunting. Clark never did have a son of his own but had a very special place in his heart for a young man he took under his wing, Blair Paulsen, who later became his son-in-law. One of Clark’s greater joys in life was the opportunity to spend time and have the connection he had with Blair.
Clark was always the life of the party, the one who could crack a joke and make anyone laugh, and the one who was always down for a good time and, of course, a cold drink. Nobody was a stranger to Clark, as he would give his shirt off his back to anyone. Clark was a true and great friend to many. He loved to be on the lake with his daughters and close friends, coyote hunting, grilling, sitting around the campfire or anything that involved making memories with the ones he loved.
Clark was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Steen, his father, Leonard Steen, and his brother, Paul Steen, as well as a few of his dearest friends. He is survived by his daughters Kendal Paulsen (Blair) and their 4 children of Council Bluffs, IA, his daughter Jessica Richter (Greg) and their 7 children of Atlantic, IA, brother Dave Steen (Bev) of Elk Horn, IA, sister Kathryn Paulsen of Omaha, NE, and brother Mark Steen of Omaha, NE.
