Cheral Ann was born December 15, 1933, to Lester & Lillian (Joens) Andresen at Manning General Hospital in Manning, Iowa. As an only child she grew up on a farm near Manning, attended Country School and graduated Manning High School in 1952. After attending business school in Omaha, NE she returned to Manning and worked for Manning Monitor and Richard Crandall, Attorney. After moving to Des Moines in 1960 she worked for United Central Bank, Des Moines Center of Science & Industry as administrative assistant followed by a successful career as a realtor in residential real estate with Iowa Realty in Des Moines for 25 years. She was also a dedicated volunteer for American Red Cross for 15 years plus serving on the Board of Directors for Central Iowa Red Cross. She was a hard-working career mom that only took time off to enjoy her children while they were young,

In 1980, at the Little Brown Church in the Vail, she married Dewayne Buhr and blended their family of 6 children. They later moved to Manning in 1999. Cheral took the job as Director of Public Housing for the Manning Housing Agency. She was also active in the community by serving on the Manning Betterment Board and as chairman of the Manning Housing Task Force. Upon retirement in 2012, she enjoyed buying and selling collectibles on eBay. Cheral had fun spending time with family at the family summer cabin on Blackhawk Lake and visiting Iowa Casinos.

Cheral was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church where she served as Stewardship chairman, on the Church Council, the ladies sewing group, and with the Ladies Guild - serving as Secretary and President. She considered the Ladies Guild her second family which she loved very much. She also volunteered at the Manning Hausbarn Gift Shop and Manning Health Care Center's snack bar.

On Thursday, December 15, 2022, Cheral passed away on her 89th birthday at Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning, Iowa

Cheral is survived by her 3 children, Pamela (Denny) Garvis of Templeton, David Vollstedt of Lake View, Sandra (Brett) Harvey of Blue Springs, MO; three step-children, Eric (Monique) Buhr of Hawthorne, CA, Daniel (Angelia) Buhr of Bradenton, FL, Sarah (Alex) Wibe of Virginia Beach, VA; two grandchildren, Michael Nath (Heather) of Maricopa, AZ, Carson Harvey of Lenexa, KS, eleven step-grandchildren, Lexi, Nicole, Caedon, Gannon, Griffin, & Abigail Buhr, Lizzy & Samantha Witcher, Alexis McMinn, Kayla & Cyndi Wibe, one great grandson Dominick Finnearty, Dewayne's siblings Allen, Weldon & Ivan Buhr, Bonnie Lester, cousins and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband Dewayne, her parents, Dewayne's parents Werner & Esther Buhr, Dewayne's siblings Willie, Donnie & Dallas Buhr, Pam Lewis.

A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, December 21,2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Manning, Iowa.

Recorded Music "Amazing Grace" by Il Divo and "How Great Thou Art" by Susan Boyle.

Congregational Hymns "Because He Lives", "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands", Timothy Conner, Organist.

Urn Bearers are Cheral's Grandchildren, Michael Nath and Carson Harvey.

Interment at a Later Date at the Manning Cemetery, Manning, Iowa.
