    Blanch Geraldine, daughter of Ernest S. and Della A. (Jackson) Rockwell, was born June 3, 1913 at Junction Township in Greene County, Iowa.  She attended the Seeley Township country school in Guthrie County until the 6th grade when she began working at home.

    On October 4th, 1929 Blanch was united in marriage with Richard A. Jackson at Guthrie Center, Iowa. The couple resided in the Bayard area. Blanch then worked at home taking care of their three children. As the children got older, Blanch began working at Bayard Produce. She retired in 1993 after 34 years of service. Blanch was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bayard. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, tatting, crocheting, embroidering, and gardening.

    In 1998 Blanch became a resident of Bayard Nursing and Rehab Center. She remained there until the facility closed in 2007 and she moved to New Homestead Nursing Home in Guthrie Center. She died there on February 16, 2008, at the age of 94 years, 8 months, and 13 days. 

   Blanch was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard in 1987; daughter Eva Silletto; son George Andrew Jackson; great-grandsons David Cooper and another great-grandson at Tyler infancy;  brother  Howard Rockwell;  and sister Annise Bramen.

    She is survived by her daughter Ann and husband John Greenlee of Guthrie Center; 12 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; several step-great-great grandchildren; sisters Beulah Hancock of Philip, SD; and Darlene Palmer of Des Moines; brothers: Jay Rockwell and wife Gerry of Sioux Falls, SD; Richard Rockwell and wife Shirley of Oxen Hill, MD; and Clarence Rockwell and wife Deloris of Albia; son-in-law Tom Silletto and wife Regine of Lincoln, NE; daughter-in-law Ora Jackson of Las Vegas, NV;  nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
