Ashley Nicole Johnston

Ashley Nicole, daughter of Gerd and Kim Johnston was born on May 22, 1987 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was raised in Carroll, Iowa where she attended Carroll High School. After her schooling she worked for New Hope Village. Ashley was a loving and caring individual who enjoyed riding horses, scrapbooking, working on her computer and making dog treats. She had a special fondness for babies and puppies. As Ashley's health continued to fail she was admitted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. On April 12, 2010 Ashley died there at the ago of 22 years, 10 months and 21 days. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Lloyd Johnston and infant sister Amy Johnston. Ashley is survived by her parents Gerd and Kim Johnston of Carroll; brother Aaron Johnston of Carroll; grandparents: Maria Johnston of Carroll and Harold and Doris Astleford of Lake City; many uncles, aunts, cousins, dear caregivers Roxie Reinart and Pat Bushman; and many other friends.
