Anna Marie, daughter of John and Magdalene (Sondgeroth) Hoffmann was born on November 5, 1921 in Roselle, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Holy Angels Church and attended Holy Angels School in Roselle.
On November 21, 1944, Anna was united in marriage with Lloyd J. Venteicher in Willey. Anna, Lloyd, and their two children made their home on a farm near Willey. In addition to caring for her family, Anna worked hard, taking care of the farm.
Anna was a member of St. Marys Church in Willey and the St. Marys Ladies Guild. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, baking, playing cards, listening to polka music, reading the newspaper, and jigsaw puzzles.
After the death of her husband in 2001, Anna remained on the farm until she moved to Carroll in October 2002. On March 4, 2009, she was admitted to St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, where she died on March 6 at the age 87 years, 4 months, and 1 day.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, great-grandson Kyle Venteicher; brothers: John Hoffmann and William Hoffmann and wife Lorena; and sisters: Ida and husband Virgil Broich; Sister M. Eulalia; Marge and husband Gene Schrad; Betty and husband Stanley Raupp, and Mary Hoffmann.
She is survived by her son Ronald Venteicher and wife Donna of Carroll; daughter Donna and husband Clarence Matthews of Harrisburgh, PA; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Linda Hoffmann of Carroll; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
