   Alice Marie, daughter of Albert A. and Rosa (Schmidt) Puck, was born November 12, 1928, near Manning, Iowa.  She attended country school near Manning and lived at home until the age of 18 ½ when she moved to Carroll and went to work in the Carroll Candy Kitchen. While in Carroll, Alice took instruction and joined the Catholic Church.    On February 8, 1949, Alice was united in marriage with Joseph Henry Stevens at St. Joseph’s Church in Carroll. Alice and Joe farmed near Templeton until 1959 when they moved to a farm in Lincoln Township in Audubon County. At that time, they transferred their membership to Sacred Heart Church in Manning. In December of 1984, Joe retired from farming and they moved into Manning. After Joe was diagnosed with cancer he enjoyed two more years at home before his death on November 3, 1997. Alice remained in their home and enjoyed taking trips with First Club.    Alice became a resident at the Manning Plaza in August 2014. She died at the Manning Regional Healthcare Center on March 1, 2017 at the age of 88 years, 3 months and 17 days.        Alice is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Rosa; husband Joseph; two sisters Viola (Leslie) Boger and Delores Puck; brothers Donald Puck and Lewis Puck; in-laws Ray Vonnahme, Donald (Dorothy) Stevens, Marvin Stevens and Melvin (Alberta) Stevens.    She is survived by her sister Shirley Puck of Ida Grove; three sisters-in-law:  Delores Vonnahme of Mount Carmel, Gladys Stevens of Templeton and Helen Stevens of Carroll; nieces, nephews, and friends.
